Today is the International Day of Democracy. This week, Year 6 have been thinking about Article 12 and have been electing eco-councillors and roles of responsibility.
Our eco-councillors are Grace and Albert! Well done!
Article 29
This afternoon Mr Basha taught Beech class some yoga games and mindfulness tricks. They were really relaxed and enjoyed learning the different moves. In such a busy world it’s really important that we all take the time to rest our minds and look after our mental wellbeing.





Another week of amazing donations from our parents this week. Hitts are coming to make a second collection this week. If you have any more donations please save them for September so they aren’t left over the summer. We will continue to collect all next year.

Last week Year 5 looked at Article 24 ‘ Every child has the right to the best possible health. We discussed food banks and why they have been set up. The children then illustrated this Article within their own jigsaw piece.

Our first donations for HITS food bank have been coming through and will be collected on Wednesday. We will be collecting through the year so please keep sending your donations in. Thank you for your support so far 🙂

We have the right to grow mentally and spiritually. Year one have been thinking about what makes them happy. They have painted their happy thoughts.



We all have the right to food and basic health necessities but unfortunately this doesn’t happen for everyone. We are supporting our local community by asking for donations of food and toiletries for HITS food bank in Kingsteignton. More details below.


Today Year one followed instructions to play games together. We thought about article 28 our right to come to school and be happy, safe and kind. 


In Year One we love Cosmic Yoga! Today we followed the Popcorn and the Pirates session and we loved it. Popcorn the dolphin had a great message for us today – think positive, stay calm and keep breathing. We love starting our day in this way and it helps support our mental health and happiness.
Article 27 – the right to live in conditions which develop you mentally and spiritually.


We all have the right to play and have fun and our friends help us with this. We have therefore made friendship recipes to help us stay friends and look after each other.
