Today Year 2 took part in a wonderful workshop all about the importance of recycling and not putting unnecessary waste in our big black bins. We listened to a visitor from Teignbridge recycling and sorted objects into the correct recycling bins. We have created posters to take home to remind us and our families to be super recyclers and look after our precious world! Article 24

Being successful and enjoying the new year!
Today Year 2 spoke about the things that we enjoyed and were successful at. We then created our own treasure chests to share our successes and how they make us feel. We then made some wishes for 2022. Article 31: Every child has the right to relax, play and take part in activities that they find interesting.
The right to nutritious food and clean water
Year 2 enjoyed taking part in an art activity based on Article 24: The right to nutritious food and clean water. Children used their cutting and imagination skills to produce carrots, strawberries, tomatoes, sweetcorn and broccoli for a collaborative whole school display.





Safer Internet Day
This week we have had safer internet day. Year 2 have been thinking hard about article of the month: Article 17- Our right to be told things that are true by the internet, TV, the news and newspapers. We have also talked about how to stay safe online in today’s assembly with Mrs Arnold.

Rights and Responsibilities
KS1 have been busy thinking about our rights and creating our class charters.


Following instructions
Today Year one followed instructions to play games together. We thought about article 28 our right to come to school and be happy, safe and kind. 


Playing & Learning
We all have the right to learn, play and be happy. Today the children in Foundation stage and KS1 made and painted bunting ready for a special VE Day celebration tomorrow. We also had a go at writing some adventure stories today.
