In Year 5 we have been thinking about our rights and have created an acrostic poem about respect- linked to article 29: the right to eduction and respecting other people’s rights and values. We thought about what respect means to us and how we can show respect to others. 
The Rights Ambassadors have met this week to discuss a new project that they are passionate about. They have requested that we update our library and book corners to make them more exciting for the children in our school. This week they are making brainstorms of all their ideas ready to share with the school management in the next few weeks.
They will also be looking at fundraising ideas to help pay for the upgrades.
Each week we can bring in something to talk about for show and tell. We all have different favourite toys and we all access different things at the weekend. On a Monday morning we share what we have and what we have done. We all respect each other by listening and understanding that we all enjoy different things.
