Our Year Five Rights Ambassadors decided hey wanted to write a letter to local businesses asking for seed domations. They sent their letter and got responses from B&Q and Otter Nurseries- Jack’s Patch! Thanks to B&Q we have over 2000 seeds to plant and (pictured below) are some amazing seed bombs and wild flower packets from Jack’s Patch!

“I have the right to relax and have fun” Reception children were all really excited to return to school to see all their friends and teachers after the half term break. We started our new project on Minibeasts with a surprise…. our teachers had bought in some locusts and crickets for us to observe. Then we had another delivery and it is tiny caterpillars. We are looking forward to watching how they change into butterflies. We also have Barry the African snail to observe. We have been painting our favourite minibeasts and learning to double using spots on butterflies and ladybirds. We have been sorting minibeasts and have made play dough snails! It has been great fun and an exciting start to our new topic!
